About the RetroSpective Skin

Have some fun and put some pizazz into your website with this stylish Dotnetnuke skin and container set. The "retro" theme is unique and vibrant, and will certainly add visual appeal that will make your content come alive. Great for blogs, whether the website is a personal or business site.
This is a DNN 5x only skin. It depends on DNN 5 specific technology:
- The font rendering engine requires jquery to be present and loaded, which DNN 5x does automatically by default.
- The menu uses DNN 5x's new menu classes to achieve a multi-color menu using css.
The Retro1 and Bar Code fonts are javascript fonts and are included in the skin package. They use IE's vml engine and the canvas tag in other browsers to render the fonts. The javascript files are very small and the rendering takes place behind the scenes as the page is loaded completely unnoticed by the website visitor. If the web visitor has javascript turned off, the text that is normally rendered in the Retro or Bar Code fonts are then rendered as normal text in the Arial or Tahoma fonts. Note: when installing you may receive an error message that the skin contains files with extensions that are not allowed in uploads. That is because of these javascript files, and you should allow them to be uploaded or the font rendering won't work. They are perfectly safe and won't harm your computer or your website. Don't have a logo? No problem. On the Admin->Site Settings page under Appearance, just select "none specified" for the logo. Your website title will automatically be inserted into the page header in the Retro1 font along with the circular, retro, logo image. If you do have a logo, you can select it on the Site Settings page and it will be inserted into the header instead, just like the default DNN skins would. Also, a two color title can be achieved by simply using the bold <b></b> tags in the website title; the tags will set the color to green for the bolded text.
There are 12 styles of containers, many with multiple color options in the blue/green/gold/brown color scheme. The containers will work in either the blue content area or the brown content area.
There are 4 skin styles which vary by the top header image, which is also where the language selectors are if you have a multi-lingual DNN site.
The menu item width can be adjusted in the skin's css files and there are notes there on setting up for 5-across and 6-across menu tabs. You could also set up for 4 or even 7 across, whatever you prefer. The width sets the minimum width, so a menu tab will expand wider if necessary to display the entire page name in the menu.
