As you can see above, there are a number of content panes to allow for a number of layout schemes.

The LogoPane is a normal content pane for adding any module you need.  The LogoPane area is a good place for a slogan or a website title accompanied by a slogan.  You would want to use the TextOnly_NoTitleNoIcons container which was designed to be used in the LogoPane area.

The business card under the date is a logo image placed in the header via DNN's logo function.
